Summer Programs

T-Camp

The transition from middle to high school is an important one. While students and parents worry about this transition, we know that with the right support, encouragement and attention, students will be able to thrive in English Language Arts (ELA), Algebra and Biology.

During this camp, we look forward to front loading each student through manipulative based learning. This method will provide the necessary skills and tools to be successful on the ELA, Algebra and Biology End of Course (EOC) during the following academic year.

Code Red: Coding for Girls

Seeds to STEM, a free Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) daily after school program offered at SEEDS to STEM, is designed to increase the STEM literacy skills and reduce risky behaviors of low income 6th-12th grade girls, whose gender is the most underrepresented in STEM and therefore may be at risk for not pursing post-secondary education or career opportunities in the STEM fields, which are projected to grow by 17% before 2018.

Through hands-on, STEM manipulative based learning projects that will teach students how to improve community issues, Seeds to STEM, increases girls’ positive attitudes toward STEM, decreases poverty and strengthens families by teaching students career-driven STEM skills, promotes cooperative rather than competitive experiences, while providing a safe environment where girls can learn science, technology, engineering and math and become positive agents of change.

The Life of David Biblical STEM Camp

The Implementation of a The Life of David Biblical STEM Camp will provide K-9 grade students within churches the opportunity to explore science, technology, and engineering and mathematics concepts and biblical teachings beyond what is available in or outside their classrooms.  The additional STEM programs will help supplement what teachers are providing in the classroom through math and science enrichment activities for their students that reinforce key concepts, promote mastery learning of standards, and improve overall educational experience.
